Renovating for the future.
Our building opened nearly 25 years ago, when the island had fewer residents. Membership has grown, and so has the need for space, accessibility and efficiency.

Thanks to you, we own the building.
The Center opened in 2002, owned 51% by the nonprofit and 49% by the county. In 2024 donors helped us buy the rest, and now we’re putting your gifts to work.
In 2025 we completed a feasibility study and put down a deposit on a 2026 roof replacement.
A building that fits
- Additional ADA-compliant restrooms
- More flexible meeting and activity spaces
- An expanded Grannie’s Corner
- A welcoming “living room” for social connection
- Energy efficiency upgrades
- A better reception area and staff workspaces
- More parking

Help build it
Every gift to the renovation fund goes toward a safer, more welcoming Center for the next 25 years.
